This year is 2005. The prison system is managed by the private sector. Business tycoon R.D. Crowley has created a virtual reality prison. In the deadly maze designed by Crowley, the prisoners' bodies are locked in a state of simulated death. Crowley allows wealthy athletes to place bets on lethal virtual reality battles against the prisoners. He attempts to enter the prison and eradicate the virtual reality technology. He is obsessed with his virtual reality girlfriend and addicted to virtual reality. Will gets caught and thrown into Crowley's deadly time-travel hunting net. With their lives hanging by a thread, Will and the prisoners must escape certain death and destroy the virtual reality prison.
