Violet (played by Meghann Fahy) is a widow and single mother who is dating for the first time in years. After arriving at an upscale restaurant for her date with Henry (played by Brandon Sklenar), she is very pleased to find him more charming and handsome than she expected. However, as a series of anonymous messages begin to arrive on her phone, Violet transitions from initial annoyance to fear, and the chemistry between the two starts to cool. Later, she receives instructions not to tell anyone about this situation, and she must follow the commands in the anonymous messages, or else the mysterious figure in the hoodie that she sees through the home surveillance camera on her phone will kill her young son and her sister, who is babysitting him.
