Hua Zhi, a soldier from Northeast China, fought fiercely against the Japanese invaders after the Mukden Incident on September 18. After the Northeast fell, he became disillusioned with the situation and returned to the mountains to live by hunting. In the winter of 1941, Hua Zhi saved a small unit of the Anti-Japanese United Army that was ambushed by the Japanese, which resulted in the death of his wife, children, and fellow villagers at the hands of the Japanese. To avenge his country and family, he joined the Anti-Japanese United Army, becoming a sharpshooter, and faced off against two top snipers from the Japanese army, who had been transferred from the Pacific battlefield. The enemy was strong while he was weak, and there were dangers at every step. To prevent the Japanese from transporting arms to the south, he resolutely infiltrated a Japanese munitions depot with the Anti-Japanese United Army's small unit, fighting bravely against the defenders and successfully completing his mission.
