The film is adapted from a true story, specifically from the life of the director himself. One day in 1982, four young tank soldiers arrived on the Lebanese battlefield, driving a tank into a civilian village all by themselves. These four young soldiers had no combat experience and had just recently learned to drive a tank. In this village, their task was to assist the ground combat forces in eliminating what appeared to be terrorists from the Palestine Liberation Organization. Their commander was Jamili, and under his command, the focus of this operation was 'quick and simple.' However, from the moment the tank entered the village, the mission became anything but simple. They lost contact with the ground forces, and the inexperienced tank soldiers ran around like headless chickens. A simple military task turned into a massacre.
