The two sisters live on different continents and reunite on a small island in the Mediterranean. The older sister, Kate, meets a group of locals and agrees to take a hot air balloon ride, leaving little time for the two to reconnect and restore their family bond. But disaster strikes when, due to an accident, the hot air balloon is swept out to sea. Their phones are out of signal, and the balloon is running out of fuel, leaving Kate and her friends fighting for their lives. Meanwhile, back on land, the younger sister, Liz, becomes an unwilling 'key witness' in a criminal case. A dramatic turn of events ensues that will forever change their lives.
