In the late Shang Dynasty, King Zhou was tyrannical and neglected state affairs, causing the people to suffer. One of the four great generals of the Shang, Li Jing (played by Yuan Hua), had a wife named Yin Shiniang (played by Yuen Qiu Dan) who gave birth to what turned out to be a meatball. Li Jing believed this was a monstrous being that had descended to earth, and when he cut open the meatball with his sword, he found a two-year-old child named Nezha (played by Chen Haomin). Shiniang, worried for her son, sent Nezha to the Nuwa temple for upbringing. There, he befriended Yang Jian (played by Qian Jiale) and Lei Zhenzi (played by Li Jiasheng), and the three of them entered the martial world. Yang Jian's sister, Yang Lianhua (played by Ye Xuan), fell in love with Nezha at first sight. Meanwhile, King Zhou indulged in his lust and favored Su Daji (played by Wen Bixia), causing widespread suffering among the people. Jiang Ziya led Nezha, Lei Zhenzi, and Yang Jian to persuade King Wen to support King Wu in leading an army against King Zhou. With everyone's combined efforts, they unified to fight against the tyranny.
