On a bright day, five individuals—Holden (played by Jesse Williams), Marty (played by Fran Kranz), Jules (played by Anna Hutchison), Dana (played by Kristen Connolly), and Kurt (played by Chris Hemsworth)—from the same university, drive to a remote cabin in the deep woods for a vacation. What they don’t know is that every move they make is being monitored by a mysterious organization, and they may unconsciously fall into a trap set by that group. "Unintentionally," Dana recites a spell in Latin, and afterward, the zombies buried deep in the ground rise, launching a bloody massacre against the young people. Meanwhile, on the other side of the camera, members of the mysterious organization watch happily as everything unfolds. The unsuspecting young people must die for a mysterious purpose...
