Four U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq received orders to return home, but a terrorist bombing changed their fate. Vanessa (played by Jessica Biel), a military truck driver, was severely injured in the blast and lost a limb while being treated by the military doctor Will (played by Samuel L. Jackson). Jamal (played by 50 Cent) accidentally killed an Iraqi woman, leaving him with a heavy heart. Tommy (played by Brian Presley) witnessed the death of a comrade and was heartbroken. After returning home, Vanessa became a gym teacher on campus, but the prosthetic she was given left her feeling dejected. Will's wife noticed that her husband was always losing control of his emotions, while their rebellious son frequently clashed with his father. Both Jamal and Tommy underwent group therapy, but they had an argument and parted ways, only to encounter each other again in a life-and-death situation...
