The Central Committee Chairman Qian Lao is set to visit Hong Kong for a private visit. Sister Zheng (played by Zheng Yuling) and Ah Sheng (played by Zhang Jianting) are tasked with preparing security measures in Hong Kong. However, their plane encounters a malfunction, landing instead at an airport in Taiwan. Sister Zheng prepares for the reception from the Taiwanese side, but after spending some time together, she establishes a preliminary trust with the Taiwanese police officer Jiang Dayong (played by Chen Songyong), who is in charge of the reception. Upon arriving in Hong Kong, Sister Zheng, with the assistance of Inspector Lu (played by Anthony Wong) from the Hong Kong Political Department, meticulously arranges security measures for each location that Qian Lao will visit to meet an old romantic partner. Her serious yet awkward demeanor causes Inspector Lu to chuckle. The day before Qian Lao's arrival, Jiang Dayong arrives in Hong Kong and informs Zheng and Lu that there is intelligence about an assassin targeting Qian Lao, prompting the three from different places to work together to ensure Qian Lao's safety.
