"Cocaine Hotel" tells the story of Cuban exile Roman Compte, who fought alongside Fidel Castro during the Bay of Pigs invasion and later restarted his life in Miami. He is the general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, which was the epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Mutiny Hotel was the Casablanca of cocaine, a glamorous nightclub, restaurant, and hotel frequented by Florida businessmen and politicians, international drug enforcement agents, CIA and FBI operatives, models, sports stars, and musicians. Compte is the central figure in all of this, doing everything he can to maintain it all and realize his American dream."
