In London's Ballard Street, a gang of young punks including Mos (played by John Boyega), Dennis (played by Franz Drameh), and Cavin mug a female nurse named Sam (played by Jodie Whittaker) under the cover of night. During their crime, an unidentified creature falls from the sky and bites Mos, giving Sam a chance to escape. Enraged, Mos kills the small creature that is neither ape nor dog and takes its corpse to visit cannabis growers Rongo and the Hat. Upon discovering that the creature might be an alien, Mos gets the idea to make money off it. However, things go sour after they leave; a large number of similar gigantic creatures descend from the sky, and Mos is arrested by the police called by Sam. Amid the chaos, Mos and his friends manage to escape, but after colliding with Hat's car, they have to hide in Sam's home to evade the alien monsters, Hat, and the police. Mos leads his friends in an attempt to defend the street, but they can only flee for their lives from the monsters, and it gets worse—these creatures seem primarily focused on killing Mos, who had killed the little creature...
