The film is based on the shocking Manson Family murder case that rocked the United States in 1969. The victims of this murder case included the famous Hollywood actress Sharon Tate and her four friends. On August 9, 1969, while her husband Roman Polanski was filming in Europe, the eight-month-pregnant Sharon invited four friends to her home in Beverly Hills for a weekend. It was supposed to be a joyful weekend. Instead, Sharon's unborn baby was brutally strangled to death along with her; the four friends spending the weekend at her house were also not spared, and in a more brutal twist, they all died in a grotesque manner, their faces unrecognizable; the mansion was drenched in blood; a happy weekend suddenly turned into a weekend of death.
