Deadly Gold

The Lu-Su region is a hilly area rich in mineral resources. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, this area became a battleground for military forces. The Communist Party adhered to the principle of unity to jointly eliminate the enemy, specially sending Yang Cheng and Li Yunxia to the Huangqiushan area to unite with local armed groups to fight against the enemy. Han Yanfeng and Li Daleng were the leaders of two local anti-Japanese teams, who were enemies to each other and, disregarding the larger situation, plotted against one another, ultimately resulting in being besieged crazily by the cunning Japanese army. In the face of perilous situations, Han Yanfeng and Li Daleng decided to put aside their grudges to avenge their fallen brothers; they signed a life-and-death agreement and joined the Eighth Route Army guerrilla team. However, they sabotaged each other and quibbled over small issues, which caused instability within the team and frequent mission failures. With the help of Yang Cheng and Li Yunxia, the two gradually resolved their conflicts. They assisted guerrilla team members by leveraging their advantages to disguise as a wedding procession, using a variety of techniques such as performing the twisted stilt dance and operating a dry boat to blow up Japanese bunkers and airports, recapture gold mines occupied by the Japanese, rescue their compatriots, coordinate with the guerrilla team to engage in guerrilla warfare, transfer Political Commissar Yang Cheng, and successfully delay the Japanese puppet army, winning enough time for the main force to retreat and successfully repelling the Japanese army.
