Due to an accident, the seasoned killer Frank (played by Morgan Freeman) was captured. However, en route to his detention, Frank and the transport officers were unexpectedly attacked by his accomplices, and the injured officer fell into the river along with Frank, their whereabouts unknown. Ray (played by John Cusack) is taking his son Chris (Jamie Anderson) for an exciting camping trip when they unexpectedly come across two men floating in the river, which turns out to be the officer and Frank. The officer informs Ray that Frank is a dangerous criminal and urges him to ensure Frank reaches the court. Frank, a principled killer, adheres to a rule that he must eliminate his target at all costs. With Ray, who is determined to uphold justice, on one side, and the cunning Frank on the other, a smoke-free war begins between the two.
