The play is adapted from the true crime of a brother killing his biological parents, Hosie Menides and Katie Menides in 1996.The prosecution accused them of coveting the wealth of the big family, but the two brothers claimed that they had suffered physical and mental abuse and sexual assault from their parents, and that they committed heinous crimes out of fear. They are still serving life imprisonment and are not allowed to be parole for life, and they still insist on their original testimony today.
